i pulled my 250 into the shop last night and noticed that the back left tire was wobbeling so i figured my lugnuts came loose for some reason. i came back this evening and my lugnuts were tight but the wheel still wobbled. it looks like the hub is one size to big for my axle. can anyone help me with this.

I really doubt you need a new hub or axle. I think you bent the rim. Did you smack a tree or something hard recently? Sometimes a bent rim is not readily apparent by looking at it. Jack the rear up and spin the tire with your hand. You can feel if part of the wheel is pushed in or sticking out. If it is the rim; the 250ex,300ex and 400ex all use the exact same wheel; find one cheap from a buddy. You will be SCARED if you buy from a dealer. I bent a front and price quated was $120 each. You can get brand new ITP or Douglas rims for $50 each. Let us know....

User101, Its your hub. Take your wheel off, take out the cotter key, get a big cresent wrench and put it and gear and start to tighten it.. its a pain in the ***, it happens alot on my recon. Keep a eye on it.. i would make sure its tightened everytime you change your oil or something.. it sucks.

the castle nut had come loose. i dont know how it did because of the codder pin. we called the dealer and he said to tighten it up with an impact wrench and thats what i did and it is fixed. i am going to keep an eye on it though.

that has happened to me in the past on my 250X, finally after about the third time, i put permanent lock-tite on it, and haven't had a problem since, i also put removeable lock-tite on all my lugs...just as a precaution, so they woln't back off any.
