On the 400's carb, there is a long tube running down to the swingarm area.
Where the tube connects to the carb, there is an adjustment screw right there.
(just to give you an idea what tube im refering too)
Anyway, this tube leaks a good amount of gas when the bike is shaking around.
Even when the motor is off. When im riding, my buddies tell me that the tube is dripping. When I get off the bike and shake it rapidly, it leaks considerably.
A steady stream of gas for a second or two. Got any ideas why this might be happening?

I just bought this bike, and it went from 0' to 5000' in elevation up to my home.
It has a WB E-series slip on pipe and a UNI filter. Bike runs great, and if a buddie had never told me, I would have never known this tube was leaking gas.

Thanks for any help.

This tube is your overflow from the float bowl. It sounds like your float is set just a little bit to high. That is all that I can tell you, I don't mess with carbs.

The screw is the manual drain for the carb, you shut the fuel valve and open the screw to drain the bowl. As tprender said, the overflow also drains out of the same hole, so either your float is too high,or being held open by dirt,or the drain screw is loose.
