On my previous bikes, there was a metal tab to bend and that would let the float shut the fuel off at different levels. On the 400, its all plastic. there is no tab. What gives? My bike is acting as if the carb bowl fuel level is set slightly to high. It leaks out the overflow when the bike is shaken around pretty good. (but not any other time, sitting overnight or any other amount of time)
any comments?

Yep, isn't that just nifty?

Maybe one could heat the plastic up and form it to the necessary shape somehow? Mine does the same thing you describe, it always has.
