Help with size of rims 8' or 9'

My nephew wants to put new tires on his blaster (the kenda bull dog) right now they just have them in the nine inch rim, his stock rim is 8 inch changing the rim size on this how does it change the handeling of the quad. Thanks I posted this in yamaha but got no help I know the Honda guys will help

The size of the wheel really wont change the handeling. Its the size of the tires that will do that job. If you go with smaller tires, the bike will pull harder down low, but rev out alot quicker up top. When you downsize tires(20-18), you will loose some landing "cushion".

The smaller the sidewall, the less shock absorbson and flex there will be, which will affect sliding some, but not greatly.
