Yes they do... a two stroke that is.

Usually installed along with other mods, like reeds, they even out the pulses from the cylinder and help push the new fuel charge into the crankcase.

But if not installed properly!,,, They will contribute to you buying a bunch of pistons! Oh and loosing a ton of riding time!
