ATC 250R motor in a TRX

I just bought an 87 trx 250R frame and found someone who is selling an 85 ATC 250R motor. I have heard they bolt right up to the trx frame but just want to make sure before I go ahead and buy it. Anyone have experience with this?

The 1985 and 1986 Atc engines are the same as the 1986 Trx engines. The only difference is the 1985 Atc engine is black. Any 1985 thru 1989 Atc or Trx engine will bolt right into your quad.There are some internal engine and transmission differences but all of the engine mounting is the same.
