what is the best method of reparing fenders with not too big of holes or cracks.so far i have only used zip ties.but drilling out the holes makes the fenders look like frankenstine trike. any other ideas??

I like that idea. I have also fixed large breaks and cracks by taking a thick rubber like a truck mud flap and cutting a piece that would bridge the gap of the crack, then drilling holes and bolting the rubber in place. This method also allows for future bending without breaking. I had a zuki for three years after this repair on the rear fender and still worked fine.

My boys use to keep me busy repairing fenders on their 125. My favorite repair for cracks was to take a thin piece of aluminum sheet metal, cut it a little longer than the crack and overlapped about an inch or so on either side of the crack, form it to fit contours if necessary, put it on the back side of the crack (out of sight), use small aluminum pop rivets about every inch on both sides of the crack, and a little touch up paint on the rivets. Doesn't look to bad and it's strong.
