Wyoming lets a person register a quad as a motorcycle as well. Simply get a mirror and your good to go. No horn, turn signals or anything are needed. Saw a 400 Scrambler running around town the other day..

i was recently in a honda dealership and talked to the manager who said he had a customer who licensed his honda 300 as a motorcycle in kentucky. i called the guy who got it done and had a conversation as to how he did it. he said that in ky if you have a motorcycle license and have your quad up to state inspection standards, such as brake light, horn and signals, that you could license it under a motorcycle tag. as a result you can ride on any state or county road just like any other four wheel vehicle. you do not have to wear a helmut and you can ride double as you would on a motorcycle. you do have to have liabilty insurance and since it is registered you have to pay taxes each year. in ky it comes to about $150 a year on a 95 300 4x4. do you think it is worth it for $150 to be able to ride anywhere you want? the person i talked to said he had been pulled over about three times by troopers and after checking papers were polite and let him go. he also stated the main reason for get the license was when they camped on a local federal game preserve they would not allow any atvs past the gate, now as long as they stay on the roads they can ride anywhere they want as any other licensed vehicle.

Anybody know if you can do this in Wisconsin and Minnesota?

Where do you find out if this is legal or not?
