Hi,
Does anyone know what the towing capacity is for the Honda 500 Rubicon and where to find it on the net? Honda doesnt list it in its specs.

Thanks

Honda rates all their quads from the Rancher to the Rubicon at a very conservative 850lbs.

Actually i think it's 850. Honda lists it's towing capacity way low in my opinion. I have a Fourtrax 300 4x4 with mods and vamps, and i hooked up to a Sportsman 500 with mudrunners(this was before my mods, and i just had the tires), and we stayed dead even, neither one would pull the other back. I pulled the 335 with 500 tires back though. Good ole honda power.

a 520 pound honda 300 pulling a 700 pound 500 sportsman...you must be very overweight and there was no one on the sportsman..when i had my sportsman 500 i hooked up to a 400 foreman 4x4 and we stayed even until i put mine in four wheel drive..then it was the further the faster.it was like he let off the gas!!

I'm sure they are rated so low because of stopping distance with drums while hauling a load.

Boneylong,
No i'm not overweight, i'm 16, and only weigh 160....i just know how to drive, and where to put my weight to keep traction. And yes, i hung completely even on my 300 4x4 with vamps, against a sportsman 500 with mudrunners. THe guy on the sportsman weighed about 150, and can drive just as good as me, we ride together all the time. Like i said, good ole honda power, and that i can riiide.

Ok whatever you say boneylong, come on up here and i'll hook my 300 up to your 500 and we'll see. Trust me, there isn't anything wrong with his quad....just the fact that i know how to keep traction. Oh yeah, and YESi did pull him while he tried to hold his brakes....believe if you want, but yes, a honda drug a 500 while holding his brakes.
