Rubicon Comments
#1
I have been waiting to see how the Rubicon holds up long term before making a purchase. I would like to get comments from those of you who have owned Rubicon's for some time to get an idea of problems or complaints you have had. If you have had nothing but good luck please post also. Does anyone run a snow plow? Thanks in advance for the input.

I have had mine since June 2000, and have extensive engine mods. Mine has been in rack deep mud from day one. No problems to date.
Complaints:
-drums are terrible in the mud
-differential is 3wd (easily curable with the High Lifter Detroit Gearless Locker)

The Rubicon is a great machine. You may of heard of some tranny problems, however most of these are due to Honda dealers not explaining the use of the tranny correctly and of riders abuse of the tranny. If used correctly you should not have any problems with the Rubicon. We have had ours since day 1 of its intro here in Alaska and it hasn't seen a day without 27x12x12Vamps on it. It now has 1500 miles plus and has not had one problem. Every thing can break, its just in knowing HOW to correctly use it when the time arrives. If you have any other questions regarding the Rubicon i would be glad to help out on them. Email me at........huskerweasel@hotmail.com

Shizznit: You may want to check out the mans site before saying that....... I would say TexMudder has used his quad as bad as they come......what he is saying is just that, and it still is tickin.

Lol, nicely said.... My rubi has never seen mud- but it has been ridden like a sport quad since week two, I hang with my friends Raptor as best as I can but when we hit the Sled Trails Its simply to the floor blasting trail for all my friends with 2wd quads hours on end in 2 feet of fresh snow (about 3 hours and IM empty on fuel though). When the trails and roads dry out the rubi is held open powerslideing @50MPH on dusty logging roads. During hunting season I have already thrown a UN-gutted entire 1,000 pound elk on the back of my rubi with most of the animal on the actual seat with no problems- darn privet land tags i draw make hunting a tad scary
