250R weight & height limits?

I'm I to big for a 250R?
I'm 6'6" & 180 Ibs. I know I'm probably to big for any sport quads except the DS650 but I'm wanting a 250R because of its potential & to restore it, I love to tenker. I'm also considering a 400ex, would that fit me better than a 250r? ThanksWILL

The 400ex and 250r are exactly the same as far as size. With your physical size(height) you might feel a little cramped on a 400ex/250r but it will have no problem with your weight. Your best bet is to go to a honda dealer and sit on a 400ex and see how it feels. Turn the bars, see if they hit your legs. Stand up on it. lean back, get a feel for it. If you feel comfortable then the 250r will feel exactly the same.

Will- I have a friend that rides with me that is 6'6" and weighs about 290lbs. He rides a 250r and loves it. He did however get a longer steering stem. I don't think you will be cramped on a 250r, I think you will love it. A 400ex is also a great quad. I have owned both and liked both very much. Good Luck in your choice- MrP.

For someone as tall as you, try this; Hyflyte seat should raise you up a couple inches, extended steering stem will help for you don't have to bend over to reach the bars, lower the foot pegs an inch. These are the things they did when they setup a 250R for Randy Johnson.

im 6'3'' and i race an R in the 250 A class and i used to have problems with the bars hitting my knees but i got a laegers +1 steering stem and some ''atv high'' renthal bars and everything is perfect now. and you will never have a problem with you weight cuz you can always buy new shocks. but the stockers otta hold you up just fine.
