ok fellas. i think my waffling back and fourth on what quad to get is settling down a bit. i think i have narrowed it down to four quads. the 450s&es or the rancer 4x4s or es..
i haven't ridden many quads in my day so i am not used to the foot shifting. My quad will be used for trail riding, hunting, and a little utlility work around the farm.... i haven't really checked the ranchers out yet but i love the looks of the 450's.
what tranny system should i go with?
i am 6'1" and 200lbs. i felt akward on the 300 class machines such as the honda 300, king quad et.al. Is the rancher mush larger than these quads??? i don't care to much for speed i just wanna go wherever i want and be able to keep my ridin buddies in site (grizz 600, and scrambler 500).
thanx for your help

The 450 ESP is sort of clunky. Honda made a few refinements on the Rancher. See the Rancher review on this web page.

My riding situation is similiar to yours. I have opted for the Rancher instead of the 450.

For some more info see my post 450 vs Rancher 4x4

Good luck

By the way I am getting the Rancher 4x4 ES & a Recon for my wife

the 450s and the 350s are about the same speed know on the 450esp it doesn't feel like it has much power compared to the s model but none of these could keep up with the 600griz or the 500
scram. because the 450s and the 350s go 50mp know
if you want to wait the HONDA RUBICON is coming out in late may and im sure it goes faster and you got 3 setting's on it d1.towing,d2.proformance,d3.esp: if you want more info contact me.

I don't really think that the Rubicon will be that much faster. I really think that Honda tries real hard to keep them all (utility Quads) about the same speed.

I honestly believe that the difference lay in how fast they get to top-end.
