Hello, I am thinking of getting new front shocks for the 400ex. All of the reading that I have done say's that the stock 400 shocks are really good. I am just wondering If a set of dual rates from works would be even better. Any info would be great.

Thanks

James

I have considered the same thing as you, it all depends on what you think--do you bottom our your EX? Does the stock set-up not satisfy you in certain situations?

I myself have looked into getting a set of TCS shocks, but I am not completely convinced that is what I need to do (yet anwyay). I ride pretty hard, and I like to jump some--but the stock suspension can take big hits gracefully and soak up some nasty stuff, plus the aftermarket setups are lots of $$$.

You live in Grandview? I am pretty close to you then --I live in Butler, just south of Harrisonville, where do you ride mostly?

Good luck with your decision,

Billy

I have a set of TCS Sag Control shocks on my 400EX and they are great. I am hitting things now wide open and they just eat up the whoops and jumps. I would highly reccomend these shocks. The shocks are pricy but well worth the money! I ordered mine from Graydon Proline ask for Darryl he is always more than helpful with any questions you may have. They also sale Works,PEP, etc.

Works doesn't make duals for the 400ex only triples.

I have works triple's w/out cans and I love them. I don't race, but I ride as hard as I can every time. I don't have any experience with any other aftermarket shocks so I can't really compare them to anything by stock. They are the best money I've ever put into my fourwheeler. I highly recommend them. They eat up the small stuff, jumps, woops, and trails. They are the cheapest too.

99 400EX works triples, renthals, XCT's studded for winter, etc.

I was also thinking about new shocks for my 400Ex. I just blew out a seal on the front shock and was thinking about going with dual rates. How much did those TCS sags cost?
