Honda Rubicon (general)

Chris,
I ahve a Y2K Sportsman 500. It corners flat and true. I have run it into corners at 45 MPh with no problems, except once when I hit a berm and flew into the trees! My previous quad was a Yamaha Warrior. The Sportsman corners as well as that, except it harder to get the rear wheels to break loose on the Sportsman. The Sportsman has an antiroll bar and it make sall the difference in the corners.
Glenn.

I just wanted to keep ths thread on the
first page.
I hope that every new bit of info about
the Rubicon is posted here.
I am looking hard at trading a 1998 Magnum
425 for two new Arctic Cat 500 automatics,
but the promise of the Rubicon's features
and reliability keep me wondering. I wish
Honda would make some early Rubicons
available NOW for serious testing!!!!!

I called the Honda dealership today here locally in MS to enquire on the status of the Rubicon and I was told not to expect the Rubicon to go onsale for atleast another year. It would probably be a 2002 model before released. He said that was the feedback he was getting from Honda. What do you think about them apples?

Well, since it doesn't look like Santa's gonna have one in his sled for me. I am hoping that they will still be on schedule for April or May. I know they want to get them out, but I don't think they are going to rush it into production until they feel they are ready. If it is Summer or later, I don't mind waiting. Hopefully, I will hear something in the next couple of weeks from Bruce. The first year of production will only see the color Red, which is understandable. I have asked, but have not been told when and what other colors would be available later. If it is released in April, May or whenever, then will will the next "year model" be out with the other colors? I don't see how it could be as soon as October or November.

Hey guys I got some bad new from Jeff at highlifter. You guys may know more about this than I do but Jeff said liquid cooling is a bad thing. He said for major mud riders that the radiator gets clogged with mud and causes over heating. I think I might just stick to the air cooling of my 300 for a while. I wanted a Rubicon but all I do is mud ride so I dont want something that isnt very good in mud. And I'm about the age where I start wanting a car(14) so maybe I'll start saving for that fine mustang convertable or a mercedes . I might as well think big right guys?
