What implications (if any) are there if I attempt to jump start my 400ex using my chevy s-10 truck?

 

I did that once with my pick -up" dumb me left the switch on" ,didn't hurt any thing i've coast started it before too.I wish they had a back up kick starter,but honda feel down on that one,I think

 

I've jump started my 300ex a few times in the winter. You just hook it up same as you would a car. I'm pretty sure they are both 12-volt systems. Mine still runs, anyways.

 

I've jump started my 300EX a couple of times with no problems. I think it's unfortunate that Honda didn't spend the extra $$ to put a kick start on the 300EX...it wouldn't have cost them much.

The only problem I can see is from the exta amps going to the electical system, but it's fused, so I don't think you will have any problems, or you can coast start it, try 3rd or 4th gear engage the clutch and if it fires pull it in and away you go.

 

After all that it was a loose battery terminal. Put some loctite and on there and tightened it down. No problems since. I geuss it must of come loose at the track last weekend. Oh well, I was still able to ride yesterday without having to buy any new parts.
