race gas question
#1
i was talking to two different people about running 50/50 pump-- race gas in a 2 stroke engine.
one says you dont have to jet you can switch to full pump gas with no problems, the other says you have to rejet when switching? any ideas?
is there anything else that needs to be done to the engine before running a 50/50 blend?

well im no pro on this subject but the guy we bought our R from was running 110 octane gas and that was it, and a friend of mine races and said its just the same as a 50/50 blend so we decided to run 50/50 and couldnt tell any different in power loss or anything, and she runs just a great as ever. so from experience 50/50 wont hurt a thing.

The specific gravity of race gas is slightly different than pump gas. Race gas will flow through the carb faster. You may have to run more lean jetting. I'm sure 50/50 mixture will barely be noticable.
Running race gas is only needed when you bump up the compression on your engine.
