I have a 2000 400ex and it will run 74 max, I have a K&N air filter,Dynojet kit,and MegamaxII exhaust. before I modified it I could out run a 300ex in 4th gear easily.

you are smoking something. A banshee will not run 80 stock you are lucky to hit 70mph. I know that a 400ex with a w/b exhaust will kick the banshee a!! every time in a 300ft drag race.

Everyone knows that a warrior does NOT do 68. Are you taking km or mph. A warrior could do 68km but not 68mph. A 400ex can do about 65mph. I have a 400ex with a K&N filter and my aunt has a stock warrior. The 400ex will smoke the warrior in a drag.

You are looking at 60-65 on the 400EX DEPENDING on the surface you are on and the tires you run. But under normal conditions closer to 60. You'll be smokin' with he mods you are talking about. I don't know, maybe I'm too tight w/$$$, but I think thats an awful lot of money to spend. My comment is get a warrior if you want 4-stroke. Here's why, a friend of mine has a '91 w/no mods and no major repairs. It has been put through hell real, real BAD for nine years. The only non-stock mechanical change is he dropped a tooth in front. It's faster out of the hole and pulls harder up top so it has more top end too. He burns new warriors and 400ex's every time out to the trails. His machine has rims, bandit fronts and realter rears. On a good pavement run he tops out at 70 mph beside my Mustang. And believe me, my speedo is right. I have had it checked many times tring to plee improper equipment for speeding tickets.

SAVE SOME $$$$...A WORRIOR & A SPROCKET WON'T RUN MUCH OVER $5,000

Speaking from drag race experince, I would say about 60, 64 would be a long run in perfect conditions. I have seen a 400EX with a DMC dual pipe kit and all the extra's done right, beat in a long drag by a '91 Worrior rode absolutely to death w/a dropped tooth in the front, rims and Realter Rear tires, but otherwise stock and never rebuilt(Worrior fans take note-the sprocket change will make you faster out of the hole, all the way through, mid & higher top end, 70 on pavement) That Worrior pulls harder now. Not to mention I have also seen it beat by a one day old Scrambler 400, and I have beat it bad on a '99 Scrambler bone stock that I know does 68-70 pretty quick and beats the worrior I mentioned as well.

WISH THAT S400 WAS MINE..............

Does 400brandon mean 400 Foreman? Do you have a radar gun to check speeds? You have read the Dirt Wheels mag and assume that the speeds they print are cast in stone don't you? After the 300ft mark in the drag race the Banshee checked out in a big way did'nt it.
