IcePrincess,
I have a 98 300 4x4 model and its a do all machine. Its not all that fast but I use it to pull a bushhog mower and its more comfortable than a tractor. If you could get it cheaper than $1600 at auction that would be great. But be sure and look it over very careful. There are a lot of those old 300's out there so you can pick and choose.

Ice Princess,
There is a very large group of us who spend a lot of time on our 3- and 4-wheelers. Between us all we have Polaris, Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, varying in age from ancient to brand new. In this group there are 5 Honda 300's. Mine is not one of them. But I can assure you that on all the trips we have been on, there has NEVER been a problem on ANY of the Honda 300's. They guys who own them swear on their reliability, and i'm inclined to believe them. If you are looking for reliability, i think the 300 is a great choice.
