Missing CRF450 post?

I don't think they'll ever do the 450 in a quad either, for the same reason that Yamaha didn't. Those motors wouldn't be reliable in a quad. There might be a market for them anyway, but it won't happen.
Beerock, did you say 90+hp realisticly, out of a 450? That would indeed be impressive, but I'm sceptical. And I know a 450cc motor pumping out 90hp wouldn't be very realiable,

I built a single cylinder 4-stroke that was something like 1195cc. a while back that put out 750hp and the torque went all the way off the graph! It had a supercharger, nitrous and everything. OH! I did do this on my Mr. Gasket Dyno 2000 software. Beerock tell me your playin around or got mixed up, 90-100+hp! I'd have to see it. On second thought I'd have to ride it.

hey beerock, how come the crf450's that have been raced in arena cross so far aren't blowing away the 60hp 250's if they have a supposed 30to 40 hp advatange? i mean they were built by proffesional race engine builders so they should be able to get the ridiculous numbers that you are "quoting". the crf450 motor responds decently to a filter and a pipe, but it doesn't handle internal motor mods that well, just like the yz426(which is slightly faster than the crf by the way) If a twin cylinder two stroke powervalved motor with digital ignition or equivalent displacement (sno-pro zr440) only puts out a little over a hundred horse how can the crf match that or beat that? I know that the new fourstrokes(which i am a fan of) put out more power than older 2 strokes, but compared to a modern digitally powervalved 2 stroke the new fourstrokes pale in comparison.
