How much of a difference does long travel suspension make and is it worth the money?

Has anyone heard of the frame company Gibson? http://www.kandkatv.com/gibson.htm

One last question which long travel suspension would you recommend?

Thanks for your help.

im not sure what your definition of long travel is..me personal im running plus 2 up front and a stock length swingarm in the rear.. if your going +3 i think protrax from leager might be the best choice, but also look into roll-design and even houser.

Well the long travel a arms let you run 19 inch shocks and stock is like 16. they are a lot more money which really doesn't make sense. the a arms jsut have lower shock ounts which wouldn't cost much more but the shocks are bigger. unless your a national level pro racer i think you will be alright with the reagular set up. i don't have any info on gibson though, sorry.
