Mudding with a sport atv
#11
Thanks alot for the advice on the speed control and tires for mudding but unfortunatly i dont have the money right now to get new ones. My stock tires arent worn at all really. But i will make it through this pond of thick mud. i will go as fast as i can in 3rd gear or a low 4th and blow by it lets see if my dreams com true but i dont really feel like gettin off of my machine again and spendin 15 minutes tryin to get it out. the obly bad thing was the first time i was a 10 ft from the ledge next time ill be right in the middle of it ill keep the tractor ready for action. for now no fear

I like the part about not going there...But I did witness this once. It was like watching the real mud bogs. The guy tied a 100 ft rope to the rear of his bike and had another one strapped to the front incase "he said" he made it closer to the end his buddy could pull him out. Also it sounds like the BUDDY system works well for ATVs too... MUD ON....

I put a set of 22X10X9 Gators on my 250 and it made a HUGE difference. They aren't as heavy as some mud tires and they are identical in size to the stock tires so you don't change your low end gearing. I have been able to get thru stuff my brother couldn't on his Wolverine. A good tire on a light machine really makes a difference in the mud.
