YOdaddy- do you ever run against any other c-dales on the track?

The 400ex has had it moment in the sun! While it is a good quad for 1998, every one else has stepped up, and dragged passed.

2 years ago at the dunes it was 400 ex all over, now raptor, ds650 and a few cannons. C-dales powerband should be good in the sand.

In the sand, the women and children rule the 400 ex crowd.

The c-dale is going to be the new "king of mx". It will just take a little time.

Though a loyal honda owner i would have to go with the cannondale the 400ex is great but the cannondale higher priced quads will smoke them with out question and yes maybe the cannondale will be the king of mx but for 12,000 $$ stock its going to be a while and like someone else said its fun to add to your honda

When a had my Cannibal, I raced a 440 with Cams, Exhaust, 39mm Carb, & Porting. It was closer but I still beat him I had him by about a quad length the whole time. Works shocks are junk to, they break to easy off of bigger jumps, now if you are a trailrider they would be good, but for MX best stick with Axis, PEP, Ohlins, or Elkas.

<< for a couple of you cocky guys above can you buy watercooling for the 400ex?
i think not. what about fuel injection? what about a aluminum frame?
>>

Exactly!!! Slapping on a bunch of aftermarket stuff to make your machine handle better or more powerful doesn't exactly mean that it's as good as a machine that was PROPERLY designed from the ground up.

It's funny how when the subject of the C-dale comes up, suddenly the 400ex isn't God's gift to ATVing anymore.

I wouldn't be bragging about the aluminum frames quite yet. Give them 3-4 years to fatigue and wear, and if they're still holding up, then brag away

14mins- I went to the track just last night and as you might know there was a little rain and sprinkles here and there but they didn't water the track so the rain made it perfect (for me anyways). Some of the bike riders had trouble getting enough speed out of the corners to make some of the jumps... I guess it was a little to wet for them but I didn't have any problems (on the jumps that I had the ***** to do ). Unfortunately I haven't seen any other Dales at the track. I'm hoping to see a certain "2001 black raptor, motor built by TRINITY" at the track some time... you gotta try MX some time man.

HondaGuy300ex- The $12,450 Moto 440 isn't your only option you know. That is more of a quad for the guys that race in the amature/pro GNC's. The Cannibal (what I have) cost $6,999. Just because someone that wants a C-dale also wants to race MX, doesn't mean their only option is the Moto 440. You can buy a Cannibal and add all of your own goodies and the STOCK motor will burn almost everything out there. Kory Ellis races a CANNIBAL and the motor is STOCK. He added a pipe, a-arms, axle, swingarm, and a few other little things, and he's been riding good on it. I'm just saying that the Moto isn't your only choice if you wanna race MX.

Actually, Four Stroke Tech makes a liquid cooled 500cc kit for the 400EX. I think that would probably have no problems crushing a Cannondale.

I think it's kinda funny how touchy people get when Cannondale is mentioned Insecurity maybe? Because you don't know how bad this quad really is?? hehe. It's all in the fun of the sport.
