I have been on both I would go with the Rubi, Rubi has more low end speed I dont remember about top end though. the Rubi has the different gears to drive in. No belts to mess with in engine. The only reason I would get the AC is for the IRS. But solid axle is fine with me.

If you are looking for a quad that has allot of low end torq, I think the Cat is the choice. I would choose the man instead of the auto if choosing the cat. It seems the manuals have allot more power then the autos. As far as ride goes, the cat rides 30 times smoother then the Rubi, but Rubi steers much easier then the cat. If I were you, I would try to ride both machines in the conditions that you ride in.

Both the rubi and Cat do not offer a locker. The front diff of each are close in performance wise. If you were to go for a mudder I think the cat has the clear advantage withits monsterous ground clearance. LIke I said earlier if at all possible ride both in conditions that you will be riding in.

I hated the AC 500i. The Rubi is cool.

I would go with the Rubicon all the way! . plus the Rubicon also has ESP. so you can choose between a auto tranny or not. But ill tell you one thing, i do like the cats IRS and is great ground clearance, but id never go for the Cat if i had to choose between the two. thats just my opinion. like girthyguy said try the two out.
