HI I Need help choosing between honda foreman 450 s and prairie 400 4x4. Im going to be using this for recreation , like racing around my property and trails, and for hunting.
Im looking for something with low maintainance and reliability. Price is not really that big of an issue. Im getting around 6500 with tax included for either. Another option is the kawasaki 300 4x4 as well. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew

I know quite a few guys that ride foreman 400's and 450's. They are all happy with their bikes, and how reliable that they are. I know 2 guys that ride Prairie 400's, both wish they had more power. The Prairie rides and feels like it weighs half a ton. I'm not saying it's bad, but if you want a more "sporty" ride, I would go with the 450 S. If you are considering the Kawi 300 4x4, why not look at the Rancher 4x4 S model?? I rode with a guy at the Idaho ATV Jamboree a couple years ago who had one, and it was a great machine. It handles really well, almost like a Wolverine. The Foreman is a better choice if you want to go to bigger mud tires. That motor has a lot of low end torque.

If you are looking at the Prairie 300 or 400, why not take a serious look at the new Prairie 360. It is supposed to have a lot of the features of the 650 but in a smaller package.

Sure like my 450 S. Shifting gives a sportier ride than a belt-auto, in my view. Honda quality is about the best. I run 26" tires, and they don't even dent the low end performance of the torquey Honda engine. Another satisfied customer...
