Low end torque on the 400 is its strongest point. (power wise)
Most of the 400's ***** are in the low end, with decent top end power.

I disagree with you Gaurdog, It kind depends on the type of riding you do. If I lived near dune then I may own a Raptor, But I run trails and spend most of my time on MX tracks and the Raptors just can't keep up. Also if you want to run the GNC you need a quad that is under 440cc's or you're stuck in the open class.

In our last race of the season last year there was 32 quads there, one C-dale, one Raptor, One Banshee and one 300ex, the rest were 400EX's and 250R's.

All I ride is trails and hill climbs. The raptor will do just fine on all of these. The Honda handles better in the turns, but the Raptor has the honda on the straight, HANDS DOWN!!!
It's better to be the predator.... instead of the prey

The raptor has some major weight issues. Sitting over 400 lbs. plus being top heavy results in less than desirable handling characteristics. It's also a very narrow quad which complicates this problem even further.

The best quad for you to get would be the Cannibal, lightweight, great power, handles like a dream, newest technology such as fuel injection, aluminum frame, etc. Will also run circles around 400EX's whether they are modded up or not.

A good example of the difference between the 2 machines is stock HP. A 300ex has just over 13hp.....a 400ex has 28hp.

The 300EX has just over 16 not 13.
