I got the honda 400ex because the raptor is not dependable enough my buddy has one and it is crazy how much money he spends on broken parts. And if you get the c-dale or 650 bombadier you will spend way to much money and they both suck in trails and the 650 is way to big to get in trails go with the 400 it is simply bullet proof and is not that much slower than a raptor. I draged raced one on the road once started off in 2nd gear just like my friend on the raptor. he beat me by a fourewheeler linght and my other friend with a 400 that has a quick siver carb procircuit pipe k&n filter and rev box. he beat him just by a hair and thats the honest truth. I personnaly would like to have a slower 400ex than a raptor thats in the shop most of the time

If somebody says something from theyre opinion that you dont like, it doesnt mean that they are a 12 year old. It doesnt mean that you are a 12 year old even if you do flame upon them. It just shows the level of your iq.

Wait for honda to make a REAL quad. Dont force them to make a 01 raptor replica.

Well trailer pulling Atv's are more useable then some light no good for nuthing sport quad. Actually, the people who you refer to as flamers are the ones that always reply to my posts, and every time they have something positive to say, so keep up the good work lsrbanshee, knowsalot, raptoryfm660r, wyoduner, and others whos names I cant think of. As for the real sport quad from Honda, the 400EX gets the job done. I agree it's underpowered but pretty much everything is to my likings, even though I really wouldn't need more power for the type of riding I do, because reallistically how often do you et to go 80 MPH on a quad, unless all you do is drag race, which is a bore to me. My biggest complaint about the 400EX is the lack of liquid cooling. Oh I think someone was talking about how Honda spens so much money on the Rincon, look at it, it's just a follow up to the other big bore 4X4 quads, with a couple new idea's that might set it apaert from the rest(don't know what, I could care less about 4X4's)

 

Thanks for the compliments, and I always welcome criticism. I try to keep my replies straight to the topic, and not offend anyone, but everyone is entitled to their own and unique opinion. I am sorry if you and I do not see eye to eye about matters, but I, unfortunately, cannot help that.

I still don't understand why people put down the utility line. They are there for a reason. At my house, there are 2 Polaris parked right beside my quads. Granted, they don't get ridden much, but if they weren't there, I would be S.O.L. See, I live on a farm. Not a big one, but we have 15 cows, 42 acres. I understand that some of you aren't in this position, but you must think about those who are. See, to most of you, a utility is a waste of R&D money. You guys better look around some more. Half the people on this board have utilities. They were here long before we were. There are guys on here kicking 80's model TRX300's around, that have taken more abuse than all of the sport quads ever made! If I didn't have the utilities, my life would be ALOT harder than it is. I can't get on my 250R, hook an 8ft trailer up to it, drive it down in the pasture, cross a creek, throw a baby calf on it, and come back with it. The Sportsman feels right at home. Everyone was bashing the 250EX when it came out. Check around on the boards. Honda did it for a reason, and if you see how many people have them, I think you'll understand as I do.

Like I said, I understand that some of you guys have never been on a ute', and have no intention of doing so. But personally, a long, wet, and muddy trail ride with some of my 4x4 buddies is just as memorable as any and all the races I've rode in. So next time, before you fly off and call the utilities "worthless", or a "waste of money", think about your good neighbors on the 100+ acre dairies, the people that have horse ranches, the people that use their quads to maintain their gardens. After all, I have yet to this day seen a 250R with a snow plow mounted on.

 

Utility's aren't a waste of money but,alot of people including myslelf
would much rather spend it on a sport quad. Utility's will serve their purpose just as the sport quads will just don't expect one to be
good at doing the others job.

You guys gotta stop and look around. At this point yamaha is at the top of their game. They have the blaster and banshee(markets only 2 stroke sports, other than polaris) warrior and raptor. They are makin sport quads. Suzuki is coming out with one but they lost a lot of people by not having one in what 9 years. I say look out for kawie. They are a company that will wait around and then boom. Something comes along that they make that is so new that everybody jumps to copy it. THe praire 650--sportsman---Rincon. Im already saving for a kawy sport quad. Hopefully when it hits the market ill have one by september
