Well, there you go. elsancho runs MC-1 at 50:1

We only sell the Spectro, so my goof on the MC-1 is a lack of knowledge of the product.

If you want to learn more about your R, especially the motor, check out macdizzy's web site:
www.macdizzy.com

Everything you ever wanted to know about the R and 2 stroke motors, oils, mixtures, etc. You can even download an '86 owners manual for an R.

NGK BR9ES and BR8ES
Spectro SX (I think it's SX)Fully synthetic mixed at 32:1 with 93 octane.
Can't recall the oil at the moment, it comes in a white bottle and I think it's 80W

50:1 with Amsoil 2000 fully synthetic. And no, this is not too lean with this oil. This is what the bottle recommends, and there was plenty oil dripping off of the crank when I tore down the 86 motor this winter. Proper jetting will eliminate the engine running too hot.

I also used to run Golden Spectro @ 42:1 on my 330R. It also had oil dripping off the crank, and still had 75% of the cross-hatch pattern on the cylinder even after 2 seasons of duning.

Sparkplug;
BR8ES
