I have a 2001 honda recon that I would like to get more permance out of. I've heard that if you add an after market pipe that the motor really performs better. If anyone has tried this could you tell me if you liked the outcome or if it was a waste of money? Thanks!

An FMF MegaMax and K&N REALLY perked my Recon up!! It was money very well spent. I would say it is equal to a stock 250EX.

Thanks YZGUY
Did you have to change the jets in your carb when you put the K&N filter in?

On my 99 honda recon I had a Supertrapp Ids2 with 9 discs, it really took off from there. It comes with the complete exhaust system and is not really loud. Also try to get a jet kit from dynojet. All this will make the machine very much so come alive. Yes u have to rejet w/ all this.
