I have a 2001 and love it. I am 6'3" 200lbs and i fit fine on it. But i agree that the best way to know fit, is to sit on one. Hope you find what your looking for even if it turns out to not be a honda. In the end go with whats comfortable for you. Good luck!

you might be a LITTLE big for it but nothing that you will need to move up to a raptor for...if you are god w/ your hands you could drop the pegs yourself and there you have it...a perfect fit.., and about how great it is...I PERSONALLY think its EXCELLENT but thats ME...i can wheele into third but ive never been able to hold it through all gears , and yes you can bring up the front in 4th gear and 5th gear w/ a tug of the bars...happy trails

I love my 2000 400EX. I bought it used and barely ridden for $3,800; it's basically stock; but I've trimmed the air snorkel, added a K&N air filter, up-sized the main jet, and removed the spark-arrestor screen. I mostly trail ride so I softened up the suspension and tires pressures to make it as comfortable as possible. I sometimes ride the beach, the mountains, and MX tracks. It's the perfect all around quad for the price I paid for it.
The 400EX is the most powerful quad I've ever owned, although there is now the Raptor, DS, Cannondale, Suzuki, and Kawasaki quads that are all more powerful. It would be nice to have reverse also, but you learn to live without it. It's a great jumper, and does water crossings quite well too.
If I could have ANY new quad I wanted, my everyday quad would have to be a Raptor, because it's close to the same ergonomics as a 400EX, but more powerful, and with reverse. I'd just reverse the front wheels for better stability, and I'd have to add an FMF PowerCore IVQ slip-on with a K&N jet kit, just because they respond so well to a pipe.
BUT... if you wanted to be the fastest just build a tweaked-out alky-Zilla on the bottle!

If you are 6'5" I would not buy a 400EX. I am 6'1" and feel very cramped on mine. Spend the extra money and get DS or Raptor. You will be cramped on a cannon also I would think but if not you couldnt go wrong getting one of those bad boys.
