250R vs. 93 MPH Mojave: Update
#1
OK here is the story, I got to the riding spot and rode around for a awhile. I didn't think they where going to make it (no show). But at about 4 pm I see the caravan pulling up. They introducted me to this guy with a Mojave, bone stock with what looked like a homemade straight pipe muffler.
Well, we go down to this area that is a 3/4 mile strip of pavement and have one of his friends count us down. To make a long story short at the end I was ahead a good 20 bike lengths. This is with my low-midrange pipe and mx gearing. I was so far ahead I thought he had stopped.
We ran two more times and it just go worst, I was taking off in 3rd to keep the front end down and the gap just widened.
After all the racing was done he came over and asked me if I had a lot of engine work done. I told him, "not enough to go anywhere near 93 mph."
It was a riot, his friends where tearing him up. Obviously he had told everyone his bike had been clocked at 93 because all the guys he rides with have old atc 110s.

The BS doesn't stop there, in the world of logistoics there's this myth called the triple digit truck. In truth there are several combinations of class eight trucks that can reach triple digit mph speeds loaded, BARELY. No I love to hear about the 125mph trucks, usually these folks are taking their grossly over geared vehicles theoretical wheel speed, forget that they run out of steam from aerodynamics around 80 MPH geared that high.
