BRAND NEW RUBICON - quick question
#1
Just picked up my new Rubi today - only had time to ride it for about 10 minutes and it has a pretty noticeable whine/whistle - WAY more noise than my wife's 2002 Rancher 4x4 ES - is this the transmission? Does it in D1, D2, and ESP. I know this a pretty subjective thing, but it sure seems to make a lot of noise - it was cold, so may quiet down after it warms up?
TIA for any input you can give me,
Rob

CONGRATS on the new "toy". Great machine you'll love it!
I am NOT a Rubi owner, so I can't tell you about those noises. Most likely it is normal whirring/whining of the drive train and tranny that you speak of.
Enjoy the ride...........

You made a good move going with the Rubi, I have over 1000 mi on mine. On the week days I use it as a tractor around my farm and on the weekends its off to the trails for some fun. Its been a great machine, I wish I could say the same about my 2002 SP700.

Congrats on the new Rubicon. I just recently got to ride one and I loved it. The only thing I can think of that I didn't like was the position of the ESP buttons, I kinda wish it were a rocker type like on the Bombs. Other than that though it was a great ride with great power, the kid who had it was jumping as high in the air as I was on my 300EX and was landing fine, I would say we were going like 4' in the air maybe more. Pretty impressive.
