Rev limiter on 250R
#4
No manufacturer will set a rev limiter so high that you will blow up the motor before you hit it? Why do that? Rev limiters are installed to protect the engine from that very thing. THINK!!
The 250R does have a rev limiter, and it's set below 10,000. Even modded R motors with rev limiters bypassed/removed seldom go past 11,000. Why go much higher? After a certain point, any engine begins to lose horsepower. Why continue? After you start to lose power, you may still gain speed but at such a reduced rate there is no point in continuing. Shift up!
