Is this a good deal

I dont have a clue what 250ex's go for, but if you are used to a 250ex, I dont know that you need to stepup to a CR250 immediately. They are crazy fast, and if you are used to a 250cc 4-stroke with 4 wheels, goin to a 250cc 2-stroke with only two may not be the safest thing!
Just some food for thought. In case you werent aware, a 2 stroke makes almost twice the power of a 4-storke of equal size!

Personally I'd do it. I went from an LT230 to a CR250 when I was 13. I think if you know how to use the clutch, you should be able to ride it as long as you don't get too crazy the first day(and you won't, you'll be too scared. Just make sure the CR is in good condition. If you don't like it, you could trade it and the $2000 for a better quad! Good luck, and if you do get the CR, invest in Bark Busters, otherwise you'll breank your levers all the time.

How do we know that, we;ve never met you, so how would we know? I do want to say one thing, you need to learn to spell If you think the 250EX isn't powerful enough, then do the trade, see how you like the CR. If bikes aren't you're thing, trade it and the cash for a different quad.

ride4life:Nobody said that you sucked and were slow and never ride,YOU SAID THAT MY FRIEND, Going from a 250EX to a CR250R is going to be ALOT different, I say do it and if you don't like it then you can trade the CR in and you won't have lost to much, You will need to take it easy on the CR until you see where it makes its power, Just don't go around here saying that we said you were slow because YOU were the ONLY ONE WHO SAID THAT.
