I had Dunlop KT687's on my 250r before (22x11-9). The Gators seemed to be taller, but not my much.
I don't really think it's the weight that bogged down my R so much, I think it's the traction. These tires do not slip, even in snow, I have a hard time spinning them, where as I could spin the Dunlops all day long. Too much traction for my R I think.

Yeah, if you are use to a lot of wheel spin, you don't get it from the Gators. I am used to just having the tires hook up and go, I can make it spin when I want on the trails, but definitely not in high traction situations.
