which piston do i get? What company/brand? Cast or forged?

What's the difference between cast and forged pistons?

HELP!!!

Do you want the piston for your 250r or 250x? If it's for the R, go with a cast piston. They are cheaper and if you change them regularly, reliability is not an issue. Pro-x pistons seem to be real popular. If you're dying to go forged then go with a piston from LRD that has been coated, it helps prevent seizing which seems to be an issue with Weisco (forged) pistons.

Yes, it's for the R, sorry i should have cleared that up.

But what's the difference between a cast and forged piston?
