GreatCanadian, Where do you ride over there? My uncle did the Ride the Rock trail last summer and said it was awesome. Thats the old abandoned rail line across Newfoundland. Did you ever go right across?

KillaRancha,
I haven't done the complete crossing but i have done the east coast and parts of central....i am hoping to do the entire crossing this summer....other than that most of our rides are trail rides on the east coast....woods trails, pole lines, that kinda stuff.

How do you like the Rancher? Did you get the skidplate from Charlie in Halifax? Do you have any pictures?

Killarancha,
I got the skidplate from my honda dealer here in st. john's....i'll email some pictures to you when i get them...i actuall have them on another computer, so maybe this evening or tomorrow....i like the rancher...it is everything i expected....i kind of expected that it wouldn't run 51 mph...i am used to quads and it performs quite as i expected ....WITH ONE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!....the front differential...i started a post about this:

Check this
and this
and this

Other than this, i love the bike.....i hope it will be as reliable as my other hondas that i've owned.

KillaRancha....have you thought about bigger tires...i want to put better tires on mine for the mud...not extreme mud tires but a little bigger and better than stock....but i'm worried about the extra strain on the drivetrain...any thoughts?

I read alot of good reviews on the Titan 589's. You can even get them in the 11 inch rim size for the Rancher, just check out the Titan webpage. I will probably go with 25 inch or 26 in and install a K\N Power Kit. Maybe a Big Gun pipe too!

My rancher will do 51 only on blacktop. On dirt it will only top 45. I think the differential is a rip. I got stuck with the right front spinning tractionless. I was also looking into those 589s. They look like a good tire for most conditions.
