Ok guys, check this out. (virtually)

I fabbed my own flywheel puller using a puller from a different motor, tap and dye kit, and some big bolts. worked perfect.
Anyway, under the flywheel I am seeing some scrapes on the inside. (could possibly be from a previous owner problem though) Can not see where anything has rubbed on the stator, BUT one of the wire wraps is wobbly and loose, though not enough play to contact the flywheel. I also noticed there is a plastic piece that helps hold that wrap in place is broken and missing. Could that wobbley wire wrap cause the not wanting to rev problem? By the way, there IS rust strips shooting out from the rivits on the flywheel, but I cant feel any looseness from the flywheel rivits.

Please respond if you have any idea about if I may have found my problem.
How much is a stator?

Thanks!
