laeger? walsh? houser? LRD/MCracing (aluminum)? lone star? Roll design?
I'm looking to put a CRF 450 or YZF 426 in a frame and don't want to be welding on it all the time.
Oh by the way if anyone lives in Indiana (northern) or close, our track is done now, if you like big jumps you'll like it, the biggest being a 110ft triple.

I'm positive at least one of those companies makes YZ426 and CRF450 motor-specific frames.

Well now I would say the new LRD aluminum frame, it's supposed to be "substantially" stronger than the best aftermarket steel frames according to LRD plus 20% lighter. It's also $2800 - OUCH!! Second strongest I would have to say is the Arens frame. It's known as the million mile frame for a reason!

DS, it's about time you come into the light. At least you have the brand right! Houser Racing makes frames for the CRF.

Atc86r your only an hour or less away, you should come over.
Briansgi, whats a ARENS frame? Do they have a site?
Lonestarbanshee I need something lighter and as fast or equal in power as my DS, I'll be f'n scary if I get, till I get one built I'll be making the yellow school bus fly, lol. I'm sure I will get alot of input from Creech while he's here in may.

Arens is just one of several aftermarket frame manufactures that make frames copied off the R's geometry. It's known in the race world as one of if not the strongest frame you can buy. Not sure about a web site but K&K sells the Arens frames:

Do a search on Arens Brothers Incorporated. I remember a year or so ago DirtWheels did an aftermarket frame comparison, Arens came out on top.

The best frame perid is the Walsh RaceCraft. The thing is a work of art. It may be the most expensive, but its worth it to have the best.

How much are the Walsh 250R frames? I believe if I'm going to spend in excess of $2500 on a frame, I would now go with the LRD aluminum frame. 20% lighter than the steel frames and supposedly alot stronger! Plus, no more paint that's going to rub off!!
