My o1 250 ex seems to slip when I hit 3rd gear when riding agressively. When I hit 3rd it seems to rev pretty high and doesn't grab the gear like it should. It doesn't do it unless you really push it. Can this be adjusted with the nut on the back of the engine or is the clutch going. Otherwise all the gears and shifting are fine. It's a nice bike, like new, runs good and looks good w/ new back tires but I don't have much in it and may sell it to this guy for $2k if the clutch needs work. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like it is just out of adjustment. There should be an adjustment screw with a lock nut on it. I donn't have my manual handy, but I know it shows the procedure in it. Someone was probably doing wheelies by popping the the gearshift clutch.

I was hoping it was just an adjustment. If anyone can tell me the proper procedure, I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to keep this bike but this is my only concern with it. Thanks...

I'm headed back into work right now. I'll see if I can find my manual later.
