corndog, why do you have "maintenance nightmare" written beside cannondale in your signature??? are you crazy???!!! yea, i guess a company that will send you a free frame rail when yours broke, ON A USED QUAD, would give a guy nightmares. i guess a company that has a guy on this very forum tryin to help ppl would give a guy a nightmare too. what in the world is wrong with a your cannondale that is so bad? heck, i'm a honda man thru and thru, but would honda give me a frame if i bought a used quad and bent up the frame?? heck no!!n they'd send me a bill for a whole frame, i think it's over 600 bucks from them, you got a free fix on your's. i've noticed in the past little while that you seem to complain a lot, and everyone in the forum seems to think you're a liar for some reason... how old are you anyway? sheesh

sorry, i just needed to get that off my chest,, oh and corndog,, thanx for the reply.

There is none better than a 250R. The Cannondale Moto rages a close 2nd, and the 400EX holds a strong 3rd.

Any of the Cannondale quads...

Even the Raptor, 400EX, DS650, and soon to be Z400. Why? Because these quads are in PRODUCTION!!!

Alaska has a good point. There is only so many 250Rs. Ohh sorry there is aftermarket frames but, eventually someone will find a better setup or frame thats better than a 250R. Its only a matter of time.

Alaska YFM, what does the in production matter??? would a trx90 be better for racing, and have better frame geometry than the 250R, just because it's in production? would you buy a 250ex instead of a "R" for MX racing just because the 250ex is still in production?? i think not. there are more aftermarket parts on the market for a 250R than ANY in production quad, there's a reason for that. i was just wondering, what if there were more abundant aftermarket chassis and engine mods for a tecate-4? could it be competitive against the R on the MX track? i know that they outran the 250R out of the factory.

Riverrat- old is old, no matter how you look at it. Everyone that i know with a "cherry" 250r ends up putting $$$$$ into it. New with aftermarket parts is the way to fly. No matter how you look at it, the price tag will excede 10,ooo just to get into the game. You might find a sweet 250r that is reliable, and funtions properly, but why gamble?
