Some small trailer advice???
#1
Ok guys, my speed is in and I got to go pick it up tomorrow :-) Well since I wrecked my truck I need to get a trailer for my jeep cherokee. I called around today them little suckers are expensive. I am looking for a 5x8 utility. What should I get:
Landscape gate?
12,13,14,15 inch tires?
T or A frame tongue?
Wood or metal mesh floor?
What payload?
I have heard one with the A frame and largest tire I can get, well is this true or doen't it really matter. I will be using this to exclusively haul my speed around town and some long distance trips. Any advice on what I should get and more importantly WHAT I should PAY?
Thanks,
-josh

Hi
For your trailler, 2000 pounds axel are fine. There are now axel without spring (Flexride). You can adjust the hight of the trailler up or down about an inch. These are wonderfull. Tire: 13" 6 ply Floor: Plywood 5/8"
As for the tungue, it doesnt matter. For myself i prefer the T. The A type is for larger capacity. Self lubrificating hub is a must if you like to play a lot with your bike and less with the trailler. And an gate that serve you as a ramp.
Here in Canada ± 1500$

I just got a 5 X 10 yesterday. It has the A-type tounge on it, steal frame, 2 X 8 preasure treated wood for a floor, ramp gate, 15" tires, and 3900 lbs GVW.
I paid $800. I looked around and lighter duty trailers, even went to lowes. The problem was that from the cheapest made to the heavy duty one I got, they were all $800. So I got the heavy one, and like it.
