A-Arm for 300ex

Yes, the 400ex a-arms will fit, but please remember that the top shock mount will have to be modified. Because in stock form the 250x shock will be too short and the 400ex shock will be too long. Atv Racing sells a bracket that will correct the top shock mount to run the longer shocks. Also keep in mind that you will also need the tie rods and brake lines from a 400ex also to make the conversion run smoothly.
I have a 91 250x with 250r a-arms on it and I love it.

I have 400EX A-arms and shocks on my 350XX (300EX frame, 350X motor) and this is the cheapest and one of the best setups you can do for your 300EX. You can buy new 400EX shocks for about $150 each, A-arms are about $120 per side, and tie rods are cheap, about $5. (keep spares, the longer tie rods bend easy) Your same brake lines work with the longer A-arms too, so you don't need to buy new ones. I have made my own bracket for the shock mount and it bolts up to the stock location so there's no welding on the frame, and if you ever want to put it back to stock to sell all you have to do is unbolt the bracket. I have run both the 400 and 250 shocks and the 400's are much better. If you want anymore info just email me.

hey I'm fixing to buy some 89 250r a-arms on ebay. so how hard was it to make the new bracket?how far up and out did you have to go?? I plan on using the 400ex shocks with the 250r a-arms....only problem is the shock mount....the one from Atv racing is $140. I wonder how far it goes up? cause there is a fender brace right above where it is supposed to weld. anyways I'm sure it isn't a problem. I guess I'll go with 250r a-arms 400ex shocks and ATV racing weld in kit. ok later,Jake
