Damn you guys turn everything into a **** match, why don't you go see who has the biggest d!ck, freaks! I'm not trying to add any more fuel to the fire, but why is it that all the Jap made quad owners have to defend their outdated, detuned and quite frankly, sh1tty quads when a C-Dale owner comes into the thread? Truthfully, I don't see why anyone would want a Raptor or 400EX over the C-Dales or an older 250R. The Dale has excellent power, reliablity, technology, handling, and Customer service. Yamaha and Honda only have one of those things, either Reliablity, or somewhat good power. Sure the C-Dales are higher priced, but even the new Cannibals with cheaper shocks have better suspension than a Raptor,DS,EX,and possibly Z400, with all the aforementioned things.
I've been rereading my post about 5 times and I don't even know if it makes sense, I guess I need to get a good night sleep for once! I'l hav to come b1tch more tommorow when I'm awake(and it's only 9:30 here[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

I'm not bashing Honda, but everyone is going to compare the "premiere" sport quad from one manufacurer to another.
Right now, the 400EX IS the "premiere" sport quad offered by Honda, so I see ANY comparison as being fair as it gets until Honda brings out another model.

Everything is fair about these shootouts. Just because one quad has 250cc more doesn't mean anything. Yea it's faster but these shootouts aren't just about speed. There about everything, and most of the time each quad wins in one part of the shootout. Also the mags should be testing the Honda to the Raptor because those are the High performace machcines for each company. Also most of the time anything 400cc or more is considered high performace, and the shootouts are about the high performace quads. I'm not a really a Honda fan, I like Kawasaki. But I know Honda will be back with something new to challange all, just give them a little time. How do you think I feel. Kawasaki fans have had too wait for a very long time, and now finally Kawasaki is going to do something. That pic of the green kawi is fake, they just did that to give you an idea of what it could be. It will be different than the Z400.
And I belive they will have some very competitive quads coming very soon. And so will Honda, Along with every other company. The sport is coming alive again. Just give it some time. Good things come to those who wait.

As I've stated before, as long as 400EX sales continue to be strong, Honda isn't going to be coming out with anything new, why should they!!?? Why would you replace a product that continues to outsell all other products, think about it!! Until people quit buying this quad and it starts impacting the bottom line for Honda, they won't be releasing anything new. So if you really want big red to offer a new sport quad, influence everyone you know who is thinking about buying one to buy something else, it's that simple!

i would think we should compare the 400ex with a warrior,and scramblers and the new Z because they have similar engine displacement.....BUT the 400ex kills its competition in every category...except the new Z....this is why we compare the 400ex to the larger displacement quads.......it blows its usual competition away :excluding the new 'zuki
I also dont know if we should consider the banshee a competitor of the EX either....a twin cylinder 2 stroke against a dry sump 4 valve 4 stroke?....sure they have similar displacement but its a 2 stroke...i mean c'mon...you could mod out a blaster and make it way faster than a 400ex, and besides it costs $2000+ less than the 400ex

OHHHHH, NOW THAT THE 400EX IS BEING PICKED ON YOU WANT TO COMPARE IT TO THE WARRIOR!!!??? After we just got done comparing the Warrior and the 300EX and everyone says the 300EX is better because the Warrior is an antique peice of crap that needs to go on a diet??? YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS, HONDA GUYS!!! Which is it? Does the Warrior compare to the 300EX or the 400EX??? In my opinion, NEITHER! It's too much in the middle for comparisons. If Yamaha had a 300cc and 400cc quad then compare all you want to, but because the Warrior has 350cc you Honda guys use it to your advantage whenever it suits your needs.
The only side-by-side comparison that makes sense to me is the Suzuki vs. the 400EX. Similar displacement, handling, etc.. and the Zuki has reverse, which in my mind makes it more desirable. You don't want the Banshee used against the 400EX because it's a 2-stroke, and you don't want the Cannondale used against the 400EX because it has fuel injection, but when I say the Warrior is more desirable for trails (IMO) because it has reverse you slander it because it is old and heavy! HIPOCRITS!!!!!

It's the slowest "high performance" quad with the weakest engine so it's not fair to compare that either. It's not fair to compare the 400ex to the canondale either because the canondale is so much more high-tech. It's not fair to compare the 400ex to the Z400 because the Honda is red and the Suzuki is yellow - can't have that. It's not fair to compare the 400ex with the powerful big-bore quads, besides in woods and tight trails it's all about handling and not power anyway. Also the suspension that is based on the 14 year old 250R technology is superior to all of the modern quads because 14 year old Honda technology is superior to 14 year old Yamaha technology. The Banshee sucks because it's 14 years old but the 250R and 400ex are the best because they are based on 14 year old technology; see???
Honda's pretty smart becasue they sell 400exs as fast as they they can build them.... So, how smart does that make the PEOPLE BUYING THEM???

400ex are great quads, I dont see the reason not to include them in any kind of comparison. or should honda not be represented at all? If its low on power then honda needs to step up, so yall can stop cryin about CC's.. which dont really matter anyhow, its the rider right?

Yamaha sells Warriors as fast as they build them too. Are we idiots? Let's just go out and RIDE! Don't feel sorry for me because my quad is old and heavy! I'm still smilin' just the same!
