there are now 6, maybe 7 lines of sport-quads faster than the 400EX

Banshee, Raptor, Z400, KXF400, Cannondale, DS650... and possibly a new Polaris?

come on Honda!

what in the heck are you doing!!!!

just stick the 450F motor in the EX frame... whalla!!!!!! what is so hard about that?

PS. sorry to rant and rave... I just feel let down at the moment.... but I'm sure Honda will someday make me proud again

Those pics are BS. The article says that Kawi and Suzuki merged, and Kawi is coming out with a new sport quad, so they put green plastic on the Z400, and say, here's what we think it will look like.

The 450f wont be that much faster than a z400, cause honda will severly detune it.

All the b!tchen, whining, crying , complaining, and boo hooing won't help Honda Make a quad any sooner. It took Yamaha 2 years to come up with competition for the 400EX, took Suzuki 3 years, kawasaki is just a joke if the green Z400 is for real, The DS 650 was built for the dunes, the 400EX was for the track and trail. Polaris...we haven't even seen it yet nevermind know how it handles, speed, weight, reliability, ect. C-dales are just in a league of there own. Your comparing the 400EX to mahcines that have way bigger motors, or motors that havent been tuned down.....what the hell do you expect ?

Honda has taken 1 year so far.....please just shut up and wait.

yeah guys come on, its not fair to compare the 400ex to the z400 because the ex has a less powerful motor, heavier weight, and doesn't handle as good(according to preliminary ride reports done by atv action, dirtwheels, and sportquad.com)
the 400ex's motor was outdated before the machine was ever released, the xr400 has been trailing the drz400 and wr400/426 for the past few years. honda should have released the 400ex back in the early 90's, the 400ex was simply a temporary fix to try to take some sales away from the banshee.
