The 4x2 will be faster than the 4x4. There's just no way that the 4x4 could be faster. The 300's were different, so I doubt there will be any difference in the Ranchers as far as the 2wd/4wd models go.

In the Rancher owners manual Honda says to take it easy and avoid full throttle starts and rapid acceleration for the first 15mi.I put 30mi on my Rancher before i opened it up.

Hey thanks for the info bzizzi. The factory forgot to put an owners manual in the crate of my rancher so they had to order another one for me and I have yet to receive it. so I'm still not sure about everything about my rancher yet.

PotentOne,Are you sure Honda forgot to put an owners manual in your crate. They are hidden pretty good in the roof of the rear storage compartment, along with the tire gauge.I also thought that Honda did not send one along with my Rancher until the dealer told me where to look.

potentOne,it thould be under the white cover in the top of the rear storage compartment. The cover is hinged at the top rear ,so it snaps up at the front.Just pull it down.
