Hey guys. I am in the need for some new plastic. I was wondering what everyone thinks. Fullbore? Maier? What color? What graphics/ seat cover. I current have the red frame. I was thinking the silver maier but wasn't sure on the graphics. Let me know what everyone thinks.
thanks!

Personally I would go with the fullbore, as it is high quality and I think it looks awesome. You could go with any color really but I prefer black, with a red seat cover. That would look good with your red frame.

You don't need a tank cover with Fullbores but I do believe they were going to start offering one. One bad thing about Fullbore's is most of the time they don't ship the little bracket to keep the exhaust off the plastic and it will always melt if not used. The Fullbore's are awful pricey too, $500, you might as well spend a little more than that and buy OEM. I've heard the new shiny Maier plastic is pretty sweet, you ought to check them out.

Nice looking ktrends. I like the look of that.. I may go with black. I currently have the red tank as well. One question though. My tank is faded. Any ideas on how to get it looking better?
thanks

Mop'n Glo, I use it all the time for my platic, it really shines old faded plastic up good. My R's tank was also faded like most are, it looks 100% better now.

I used red high temp paint, worked kickass! Never chipped or wore @ all.

I have always liked the Fullbore design, but now that Maier makes the shiny plastic I would have to say go with Maier. It is much cheaper, I can't really see paying $200 more for the two little vents on the front of the Fullbore. I agree with you on the silver, go with a silver, red, and blue Nac's Racing graphics kit and seat cover. If you really want to stand out go ahead and get the matching shock covers and bar pad. I think the Nac's bikes are some of the best looking around.

The new shiney maiers is the way to go unless you get OEMs. I really looked into this a few months ago and from what I've seen the fullbore always crack. Will someone out their with fullbore give us some insight into this?

As for looks I personally think the stock 86-87 red, white and blue is the best looking. I don't care for the gold swingarm, a arms and wheels though.
