One of my local dealers is having a sale, $4998 plus tax......is it because of the Z400 or because end of the model year type of thing?

I sell Honda's and MSRP is 5699 on this model.Be careful with some of these ads, they advertise at a low price and start to add things to the price as soon as you arrive, like

4995 price of the quad
300 destination and freight charge fee
300 set-up and assemble fee
75 documentation fee

This totals to 5670,allmost right at retail price of 5699.Its just an old SCAM that some dealers use to get you in the door.My dealership does NOT use these type's of mis-leading ads.

Not true!!!

Brother-in-law just bought a 2002 400EX for 4,999.99 O T D. Taxes, title and all.

Shop the prices and ask them straight up. Tell them you are goeing to bring a certified check and how much to make it out for!

I would think that as many of these things they sell, they know what the OTD price is, if they act like they don't know or have the time to tell you over the phone, they are probably trying to stick some added costs to it after you get there!!!

I got mine for a little over $5100 out the door last fall way before the Z came out. It's like anything else you just have to shop around.

The only reason I was waiting for all the other brands come out with a big bad sport quad is so the 400ex will be super cheap.

Next year, watch them go for 4200 otd.

This is what i was hoping for too. But, i asked this a couple of days ago....if the 400 goes way down in price...what will happen to the 300ex and the 250ex. I bet they are just going to improve the 400ex with maybe a couple more cc's added to it with like reverse. It would be cool to get a crf motor in there but who knows. I do hope the z drops the price of the ex in the near future....I want to buy a 400ex and get some cool mods. I live in NY, so if anyone can tell me where a good dealer would be to get a 400 for under 5k....please tell me...

My wife bought her 01 model in Dec. 2000 for $5200 total. It seemed like they just dropped in price when the Raptor came out, and now it's happening again with the Suzuki. Fine with me, I think it's about the best four wheeler you can get anyway, especially for the money!
