250R or 400EX?
#15
I have a 400ex with a K&N filter and motion pro throttle kit. My cousins have a modified 250r. In a drag race they will stay side by side the whole time. My 400ex has never broken down and my cousin's 250r is pretty hard to get going. So if you want a fun reliable atv get the 400ex. If you want a atv to work on a lot get the 250r.Get the 400ex it is the best.
P.S:good luck with your descion!

I own a 250R and my friend owns a 400EX. As far as being reliable goes, I have never had a problem with mine until a couple of weeks ago when the crank went out. We can run side by side until 6th gear. They are equal on and off the track. It just depends on how much you what to spend and what you like to ride.

I bought 400EX '00 a month ago and love it! I wnated some thing to run forever, easy on gas, maintanence, quiet, and easy to control and trail sometimes. The 400 does all of that. When you combine the words Honda and four stroke you know it will last forever. two strokes are for the riders who ask for that extra edge of performance understanding the responsibilities of that. Can you still buy a new 250R? if not then the descision is easy. An old 2 stroke can be risky...
