About a month ago my recon sort of sever caught a case of the $hits, and the motor went into peices inside. I was wondering if a 250ex motor would bolt right up to it since they are the same engines but differnt carbs. And what the price diffence would be between them.

P.S. i do have a welder and plasma cutter to do the mods to the mounting process that is needed.

they aren't exactly the same on the inside unless you have a 2002 recon, because they switched to using the same exact motors, but on the outside a 250ex motor is exactly the same as the outside of any year of recon motor

Yes..it will work, but the cost of a new engine is nearly $3000.00!!

You would be better off at fixing your Recon or selling it for scrap and just buy a new 20EX.
