blew up my R got a few ???s

i was just going down the road and it started bogging then died i tried kicking it over but there is no compression so oviosly its blown up
since im gonna be working on it im thinking about getting a new carb and reeds
i would get boysen reeds and a keihin carb
its got enough top end i want more bottom end and mid range so whats the best carb one more question since im gonna have the motor off could i polish the jug and head cause it would look a lot better than the black that it is now

V-Force has proven to make good reeds. I'd pick them over the Boyesens anyday.

Bigger carb is only goung to help the top end. You will lose a little on the bottom. Most mx quads will run a 38 keihin or a 35 taper bored to a 37 wich will give you more all around. A boyeson rad valve and carbon fiber reeds will help on the throtle response.

You can buy new AirStrykers for $179, go with a 38MM. I'd go with V-Force for the reeds. And yes of course you can polish the cylinder but it's alot of work!!

what does every one think about that mikuni carb blaster has
is it a good carb and is 150 a reasonable price.

ESR makes a mikuni 35mm carb taht is great for the bottom end

The thing about it is, if you go with a 38mm now, and if you ever want to go with a big bore like a 310 kit, you'll already have the perfect carb. I know several people who have put the 38mm airstryker carb on a stock setup and have been extremely pleased with the power gains and did not notice a loss of bottom end power.

I would agree, If you plan on modifying your motor put the 38 on. And yes the air stryker carbs are one of the best you can get.
